Lodge Farm Equestrian Centre holds shows regularly throughout the season. We usually start with a “Winter Woolies” show in February then our monthly shows are held on the 4th Sunday. There are a wide range of classes, ridden, in hand, working hunter and show jumping so there should be a class to suit everyone. Points are awarded in each class throughout the season, again culminating in our annual Awards Presentation. Our judges are competitor friendly and more than willing to give you help and advice. We hold a range of qualifying classes for various societies which include:

  • Veteran Horse Society
  • Equifest
  • Stars Champion of Champions
  • Equine Sports

The History of Lodge Farm

Lodge Farm Arena was built in 1972 by Cyril Bourne whose family shared a passion for horses, particularly show jumping. It was purchased in 2010 by the present owners Kenny and Christina Carr. Despite coming from a farming background, Kenny decided to develop the premises into Lodge Farm Equestrian Centre and made extensive alterations and additions. The indoor arena was extended, an outdoor arena was constructed to enable outside events to be hosted. As time went on stables were added, horses were purchased and the riding school opened. The rest is history and it is through hard work and dedication that Lodge Farm is what it is today.

Riding School

We offer both private and class lessons to children and adults of all ages and standards throughout the week and on Saturdays. All our staff are B.H.S. qualified.

Showing

Lodge Farm holds monthly shows, offering both ridden and in hand classes, throughout the season and is host to Caverswall and District Riding Club with their shows.

Dressage

Our dressage competitions are held monthly with tests ranging from Intro through to Elementary. All our invited judges are extremely competitor friendly.

Pony Club

Lodge Farm is a Pony Club Centre which gives riders without their own ponies the opportunity to take part in Pony Club activities including Achievement Badges.
