Indoor Arena
Our purpose-built indoor arena measures 23m x 60m, making it ideal for both flatwork and jump training. It features an outdoor viewing area and two enclosed galleries — one of which is integrated into our welcoming Arena Café, offering the perfect spot to relax while watching the action.
For clinics, lectures, and demonstrations, we offer an elevated judges’ box equipped with a sound system that’s linked directly to the café. This allows spectators to stay fully engaged, even while enjoying a drink or a bite to eat.
The indoor school is used regularly for our own riding lessons as well as external events, and is also available for private hire at just £30 per hour. If you’re sharing the arena, additional horses are welcome for £5 each.
We also have dressage boards available for hire inside the arena for an additional fee.
For your comfort and convenience, we offer vending machines, on-site toilet facilities, and disabled access throughout the viewing and common areas.
Outdoor Arena
Our outdoor floodlit arena measures 45m x 65m and features a renewed surface (as of 2019), making it ideal for both pleasure riding and competitive use. We offer a full set of B.S.J.A. standard show jumps, and throughout the summer months, a complete course is always available for hire.
In addition, we provide portable cross country fences, working hunter jumps, and arena eventing obstacles, all regularly used for training and clinics. The arena also includes a raised step jump for entry and exit, while the adjoining paddock boasts a water splash and fixed cross country features.
The outdoor arena is frequently used for riding lessons—both ours and externally hosted events—and is available for hire at £30 per hour. Additional horses sharing the hire will be charged at £5 each. Dressage boards are also available within the arena for an additional fee.
All our facilities may be hired by Riding Clubs and Pony Clubs for training or competitions, subject to special arrangements. Please contact us for further details.
The Arena Café
The Arena Café has always been a cherished part of Lodge Farm. Run by Christina Carr and her fantastic team, the café offers a range of hot and cold drinks, refreshments, and cooked breakfasts featuring locally sourced bacon and sausage. A highlight is the impressive selection of homemade cakes, Christina’s speciality being Millionaire’s shortbread. We highly recommend giving it a try during your visit!
The café adjoins not only the indoor arena but also the Conservatory, a versatile space available for lectures and meetings. Overlooking the car park and outdoor arena, the Conservatory offers a cozy viewing spot during adverse weather. It’s regularly used by the Pony Club and for children’s parties (with or without ponies), and can be booked for your event, with or without catering.

Venue Hire
All the facilities at Lodge Farm Equestrian Centre are available for hire, either as a whole or by specific area.
Why not book a “Pony Party” to celebrate a birthday, Christmas, or any other occasion, it doesn’t even have to be a special one! Each party includes an hour with the ponies for riding, fun, and games, followed by a party tea in the Conservatory, which can be catered by the Arena Café or provided by you.
Every child receives a rosette, with an extra one for the birthday boy or girl. These parties are hugely popular with children of all ages and riding abilities.
We’re happy to hire both the indoor and outdoor arenas to clients with driving horses.
