MORNING CLASSES: In-Hand to commence at 09.00am

 

Class 1: Youngstock – Foals to 3 years

 

Class 2: Novice/Young Handler be Worn (Children may be accompanied by an Adult)

 

Class 3: In-Hand Mountain & Moorland-(Small and Large breeds)

Equifest Open Mountain & Moorland in Hand

Class 4: In-Hand Shetland

 

Class 5: In-Hand Veteran – For Horses and Ponies 15 years &over

VHS AREA QUALIFIER–

CLASS 5a	DIAMOND VETERAN RIDDEN (25 years and over). Open to horses and ponies of any breed and height.
CLASS 5B	VETERAN RIDDEN (20–24 years). Open to horses and ponies of any breed and height.
CLASS 5C	PRE-VETERAN RIDDEN (15–19 years). Open to horses and ponies of any breed and height.

Class 6:  In-Hand Coloured, Palomino, Spotted, Dun & Roan

EQUIFEST IN HAND PIEBALD / SKEWBALD

 

Class 7: In-Hand Show Pony/Horse, plaited types any age

EQUIFEST OPEN IN HAND RIDING PONIES

Class 8: In-Hand Cobs – Heavy/Hairy or Hogged

 

Class 9: In-Hand Hunter Type Pony/Horse-

 

Class 10: Open In- Hand – Open to all breeds

Class 11: Complete Beginners- Open to Horses and ponies-Riders any age (Snaffle Bridle only)

Class 12: Tiny Tots Lead Rein- 5years and under ponies 128cms

Class 13: Lead Rein – 9 years and under and ponies 128cms

Veteran Horse Society –AREA QUALIFIER 2024.

 

First round qualifier for the Veteran Horse Society Supreme Final:

VETERAN HORSE OF THE YEAR 2024

Open to members and non-members.  All competitors and grooms must adhere to VHS Rules in all circumstances.  Failure to do so may result in immediate disqualification. Those wishing to join or renew the Society will need to apply for this before 1^st April each year or a late penalty fee of £15 will be charged.

 

VHS Regional Final qualification. All competitors placed 1^stto 4^thin each Area Qualifier class will qualify for the corresponding class at VHS Regional Finals.  Members must carry their card in the ring at all times and have their showing card signed by the judges proof of qualification.  Non-members will receive a red qualification card which can be exchanged for signed showing card when applying for VHS membership, this MUST be done within 21 days of qualification. It is the competitors’ responsibility to present their Showing card to the judge.

Regional Finals are open to members only.

 

All competitors are eligible to enter open classes at the National Veteran Championships,
30^th August – 1^st September 2024.  No qualification or membership necessary.  See VHS website for schedule which is available mid season in 2024.
