What a busy week at Lodge Farm Equestrian Centre. As I mentioned last week our stance has not changed since the Government began restrictions and we remain aligned with the BEF, BHS and other member bodies.
We should all respect the Government’s message of ‘stay home, protect the NHS, save lives’, and carefully consider the risks associated with riding. As a community, we should not be putting any additional pressure on our emergency and NHS services.
Looking to the future! It is still an uncertain time to when the Government will lift the restrictions, however we are pleased to announce we are working hard mapping out what our summer activities will look like; Pony Club Fun Days, engaging riding school lessons, summer camps, pony birthday parties, tiny tots sessions 2.5 years to competitions and much more spectacular fun and games.
Riding Lessons:
At Lodge Farm Equestrian Centre, we provide riding lessons and training for all abilities. We have horses and ponies to suit all levels from beginner to the more advanced. Our riding school lessons are taught by BHS qualified coaches from to students to BHSI. (Please Note: Once restrictions are lifted)
We are now looking forward to welcoming back all our customers. We know we have many talented members of Pony Club and riding school clients out there and hope you enjoy all are content and activities put together.
Please continue to stay safe in these times and thank you for your continued support. Don’t forget to check out our other platforms. Please visit our Facebook Page: Lodge Farm Equestrian Centre. https://www.facebook.com/lodgefarmriding/?ref=ts

Yesterday at Lodge Farm Equestrian we had an unexpected visitor who appeared mysteriously in our paddock.
It was a normal day on the yard. Bertie was waiting for his morning feed.
Once he had finished munching his delicious feed he had his daily groom and then turn out into his paddock to enjoy his well deserved day off. And so off he went enjoying his time in the sunshine.
Lodge farm staff working hard; mucking out beds filling hay and cleaning water buckets.
“CLIP CLOP CLIP CLOP” tiny hooves on the yard. Bertie has escaped from his paddock.
“Bertie. What are you doing on the yard by yourself ?” he’s suppose to be in his paddock enjoying his grass.
So, I put down my shovel and fork. I went to investigate what is happening whilst Bertie standing two foot taller snorting into his paddock.
A young COW. Oh no, poor Bertie has been kicked out of his paddock by a mysterious cow. No damage to the fencing, no traces of hoof marks, she just appeared in Bertie’s middle paddock.
Moments later we found the rightful owner a farmer from up the road. He came with his trailer and took her home safely and she was reunited with her family.
